Assembly Duties:
- Assembles, diagnoses, repairs, and maintains complex machines, equipment, and their
- Reads, interprets, and follows blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of
equipment and products.
- Assembly procedures include: Laying out piece parts by use of various measuring tools and
working them to test free movement. Drilling, taping, or reaming holes. Aligning components, and
bolting, screwing, or riveting them together. Removing small quantities of metal to clean parts or
to produce close fit between parts. May bend and install pipe for hydraulic systems. May fit and
solder tubing and fittings
- Tests or assists in testing operation of completed product.
- Identifies and notes problems or hazardous conditions that occur during assembly and test.
- Identifies product defects and completes appropriate documentation when defects and non-
conforming products are identified.
- Performs all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
Required Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to five years related experience
- Must be able to read and correctly interpret prints/drawings and specifications.
- Hydraulic/Pneumatic/Electrical experience a plus.
- Experience with Blow Out Preventer (BOP) equipment, Manifolds/Gate Valves, and BOP
Control/HPU Systems a plus.
