Dental Assistant Trainee Job at CommWell Health
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- Assists dentist during oral exam and treatment.
- Cleans and maintains dental operatories, sterilization and lab areas.
- Prepares patient for treatment by
o notes chief complaint in chart
o takes blood pressure and document
- Prepares patient for x-ray as needed
- Stocks operatories with adequate supplies at end of each day and as needed
- Turns on all equipment at the beginning of each day and turn off equipment at the end of the day.
- Properly maintains and cleans the following equipment per cleaning schedule:
o cold sterilization
o ultrasonic bath
- Participates in continuing education on and off site as appropriate and feasible
- Adhere to OSHA, Infection Control/Spice Regulations
- Perform Sterilization of Dental Instruments and Dental Equipment
- Perform Autoclave cleaning/maintenance, Lab duties, eye wash station, monitor/record AED/Crash Cart, O2 Tanks, Expiration dates, Sharps containers, Refrigerator/Freezer, Glucose testing, and referral monitoring
- Assist RDH when feasible
- Complete X-Ray Certification
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience
Preferred- One year of dental/medical assistance experience (Preferred)
Education
Preferred- High School or better
