Energy Assistance Specialists provide in-person and over-the-phone assistance to clients and community members seeking financial assistance with their utility bills. Primary responsibilities include supporting individuals needing assistance with outstanding energy bills, screening for program eligibility, and uploading client documents and information to databases.

Overview of Essential Functions:

• Conduct several appointments daily, in person/over the phone providing excellent customer service.
• Enter Client documentation into databases to submit energy applications. Track client information including EOC and OPUS.
• Screen applicants for program eligibility.
• Understanding of Energy Assistance Program.
• Communicate professionally, courteously at all times.
• Other duties assigned by Energy Service Manager.

Overview of Qualifications:

• Understand and adhere to strict confidentiality at all times.
• Coordinate wraparound services with other NAYA programs.
• High school diploma/GED or an equivalent of combined education and experience to meet the duties of the position.
• Experience working with the Native American/Alaska Native Community.
• Valid Oregon/Washington Driver's license.
• Complete a successful background check.
• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
