We are looking for an Estimator experienced in steel manufacturing sector to accurately estimate and quote machining and fabrication jobs. The qualified candidate will have knowledge and experience in determining material costs, machining & fabrication/welding times, heat treating, plating and other various outsourcing costs.
Job Summary and Job Functions
· Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
· Identifies labor, materials and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
· Utilize software to compute costs by analyzing labor, material and time requirements.
· Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
· Reviews data collected for quotes with a previous history and adjusts it to current timesheets and/or recalculates as needed.
· Communicates with the team and management on quotes that may be an issue and searches for more efficient ways to manufacture product as needed.
· Communicates with the team on run times and capabilities to determine suitable quotes for customer demands.
· Communicates with appropriate team on closeouts and costs for profit and loss, and to obtain more information from customers as needed.
· Assures company can perform specified jobs by evaluating job information.
· Prepares job estimates and quotations on computer on a regular basis.
· Reviews drawing or process changes to evaluate price impacts on customer.
· Submits job estimates to management on a timely basis.
· Assist in review of completed jobs for future estimates.
· Maintains connection with existing customer base to ensure World Tek remained engaged with every customer.
· Interacts with Customers, both external and internal, as needed.
· Resolves price discrepancies on Customer purchase orders.
· Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by General Manager.

Qualifications
· At least 5 years demonstrated steel manufacturing Cost Estimating experience.
· Extensive knowledge in manufacturing processes and procedures, specifically in a machine and fabrication shop.
· Ability to read and interpret blue prints and understand GD&T.
· Excellent organizational skills.
· Experienced verbal and written communication skills with the ability to professionally communicate with customers, vendors and our management team.
· Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
· Competitive drive and ability to work at a fast pace.
· Self-starter and ability to self-develop and enhance job knowledge.
· Work independently or as part of a team.
· Work accurately with attention to detail.
· Demonstrated successful independent problem solving.
· Analytical skills to review and interpret data and make recommendations regarding costs.
· Speak, read and write in English language.
Nice to Have
· Ability to use CAD software
· Experience using a MRP system
Requirements
· Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR Regulations. Therefore, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident (‘Green Card’).
Physical Demands and Working Environment
· Work in an office and plant environment.
· Light work that includes moving or adjusting objects up to 20 lbs.
· Must be able to sustain a seated positions for prolonged periods of time.
· Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a keyboard, mouse and other business machines and equipment and/or machinery.
· Communicating with others to exchange information.
· Performing and assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness work.
