ERG is seeking engineers to assist with facilities engineering projects, such as interior or exterior building renovations, building repairs (e.g., roof or HVAC replacement), and modification or repair to utilities and infrastructure. The position is located at a federal site in Indian Head, Maryland, and will involve supporting the full life cycle of projects from initial concept design through project completion and commissioning. Specific duties include:

• Conduct site visits to document existing facility conditions and develop new requirements.
• Perform design reviews for facility improvement projects provided by third-party design firms.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders on the design review process, such as the facility operator/owner, security, human resources, and safety.
• Review project submittals.
• Prepare technical memoranda/reports to document facility conditions and project status.
• Identify and work to proactively resolve any compliance issues.

The successful candidate will be joining a growing team of engineering, facilities, planning, and explosive safety professionals that focus on quality work and fostering collaborative, long-term relationships. ERG has provided engineering, management, and planning services to this federal client for nearly 20 years.

This position will be full time at the federal site in Indian Head, MD, and will include interaction and support from ERG personnel at the federal site, as well as from ERG’s Chantilly and Arlington offices. Indian Head is approximately 30 miles from Washington, DC, 25 miles from Alexandria, VA, and 60 miles from Fredericksburg, VA. Alternative work schedules may be considered.

The salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $100,000, depending on years and type of experience.

Candidates must have:

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum GPA of 3.0) in an engineering discipline.
• Relevant experience supporting facilities renovation and infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate/communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance.
