Job Title: Front Desk Receptionist
Location: Optometry Office
We are looking for a professional, friendly, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our optometry office. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills. You have a “go with the flow” personality. You will be the face of the organization and will make a good, lasting impression with our patients by providing the highest level of customer service. You are a team member who is reliable, flexible and has great phone etiquette.
Responsibilities:
- Greeting and checking-in patients
- Managing the flow of patients in the office
- Answering phone calls and scheduling/confirming appointments
- Verifying patient insurance information and processing payments
- Maintaining a neat and organized front desk area
- Directing patients to our website to complete forms
- Assisting with administrative tasks as needed
- Ordering contact lenses and trial contacts
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of basic computer applications and medical terminology a plus
- Be willing to learn optical duties, if necessary
