Little Green Treehouse in Evanston is looking for a warm and compassionate full-time Teacher aide who enjoys working with children of all ages. This is a full-time position from 9:00am-6:00pm but with flexibility to change the hours slightly if necessary. Must be a good team member and communicator. Experience is a must! We do train candidates in the classroom, and we are looking forward to meeting you!

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a least one year of experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work full-time, Monday through Friday.
• Per DCFS, All Licensed Day Care Center Workers must have: at a minimum, the first dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine series or a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine by December 3, 2021.

Job duties include, but not limited to:

• Providing a safe, warm environment where needs of the children are met and development is fostered.
• Implementing creative, theme based lesson plans.
• Parent communication via face-to-face, daily records, phone calls, and emails.
• Meeting & following requirements of Licensing agencies
• Prevents injuries and handles emergencies, accidents, and injuries appropriately when they occur.
• Professional interactions with children, parents and co-workers
