FRAZIER Industrial Company is the leading manufacturer of racking systems in the country and our blue and orange pallet rack is quickly recognized for its durability and custom engineered design. Using GMAW (MIG) type welders we build standard Pallet Rack Systems, complex Pick-to Belt Towers, and Rack Supported Buildings. Frazier is always looking for qualified painters at our shop location in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The work schedule is Monday thru Thursday, 7:00am to 5:30pm for day shift. Night shift is 5:30pm to 4:00am and includes a $2 differential. We also have a 3rd shift that works from 10pm to 8am.
This position impacts the profitability of the company by working efficiently, not wasting materials, using equipment properly and by not creating rework. This person must have a clear understanding of proper painting procedures and equipment safety. This position reports to the Paint Department Supervisor and an assigned Departmental Floor Leadman.
Technical Duties and Tasks: The employee must be able to perform the following essential duties and tasks.
1. Understands and demonstrates that: SAFETY, QUALITY & PRODUCTIVITY are priorities in all phases of our work.
2. Assists Other Technical Positions - Assists the welding departments and/or cells by moving and banding bundles of welded components and moving to the paint department laydown areas(s) for further processing by the paint department and performs production work as assigned to meet the needs of the Company. Examples of these duties include: Examples of these duties include:
-Rigging-Safely rigs bundles of components or frames using the appropriate chain for the weight of the bundle to be dipped into the paint tank.
1. Inspects chain(s) to be used in the rigging process for nicks, twists, etc. Also inspect for any damage to the hook(s) or latches (gates) or any other damage that would deem the chain and/or hook “damaged”. If a chain or hook is found to be “damaged” the chain or hook must be tagged as “damaged” and unusable and be taken to the paint supervisor or maintenance department. 1. Operates hoists, rigging, and cranes after appropriate training, and as needed for the safe moving and dipping of bundles of components and/or frames.

3. Ensures that the combined weight of the various bundles be dipped in the same run DOES NOT exceed the maximum weight of the hoists, crane or rails.
4. Operates forklift to move bundles of painted components to the laydown area(s) for the paint department. Safely moves frames within shop to an area designated as a laydown area for the paint department and in a manner to prevent damage to company equipment and always being aware of the safety of co-workers.
5. Handles chemicals such as paint and paint additives in a safe manner. The use of a FULL FACE SHEILD is required when working with any liquid such as paint or a paint additive whether it be added directly to the paint tanks or any other transfers from the original container.
6. Ensure paint in the tanks is mixed and ready to use by raking tanks, checking viscosity, and making any chemical adjustments after completing required training.
7. Works in a safe manner obeying Company safety policies, OSHA Guidelines,
accepted metal working methods and common safety practices. Wear appropriate safety equipment and protective devices, steel-toed boots, gloves, safety glasses and hearing protection, etc.
Other Work-Related Duties and Tasks: The employee must be able to perform the following essential duties and tasks.
1. Completes required work-related documents. (production records, QA reports, etc.) and submits in a timely manner.
2. Cleans work areas and equipment after work is completed. Helps maintain clean shop environment by sweeping all floors daily, etc.
3. Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Pay: $17.50 - $20.50 per hour
