Position Overview

Our services can be divided into three distinct categories: residential/commercial, automotive, and low voltage. A candidate should be interested in training in two of the three categories depending on their interests. This is a 1099 position.

Job Tasks

· Locksmithing

o Residential & Commercial Lock re-keying/ Perform Pining of locks.

o Cut keys by code/ duplicate keys

o Trouble-shoot with a variety of variables in situations.

o Install, repair and maintain Commercial and Residential hardware.

o Clean, maintain, adjust, calibrate & service equipment used.

o Read operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

· Car Keys

o Understand different transponder systems

o Understand different key systems and select appropriate keys and lock picks

o Jumping car batteries

o Use OBD tools, battery diagnostic tools, key programmers.

· Low voltage

o Install, repair and maintain Access Control Systems

o Interpret a variety of instructions in written diagram or schedule form

o Install network cabling

o Install Security Camera Systems

Other Requirements:

• Driver's License (Required)
• Reliable transportation (average drive is probably 20-30 min.) We service Lorain County and Cuyahoga County. We consistently turn down work in Aurora, Twinsburg, Hudson Streetsboro, Hudson, Stow and other North Akron areas because we don’t have technicians available to drive.
• Ability to use web-based applications, apps, connect machines to blue tooth, use email, and other apps for office communication. An Android phone is preferred.
• Due to the sensitive information and locations we work in a background check is required
• It’s acceptable to work out of a 4-door sedan. However, the amount of tools and inventory will quickly fill the backseat and trunk. While working in this position, you should assume that the car will be dedicated for jobs and carrying a passenger will only be possible if you put stuff in the backseat area.

Customer Service:

• Provide a high level of timely & accurate service.
• Communicates effectively with the client to determine what services are needed.
• Respond to general inquiries from customers/clients.

Operations Support:

• Receive verbal/written instructions from Management or Clients/Customers.
• Complete and submit paperwork accurately and on time. Complete paperwork accurately. We work with many national companies that have specific requirements for invoicing (taking before and after pictures, sign-off sheets)
• Available to respond to job offers in a timely fashion (~5-10 min. on average response to text / group chat to accept job. After a job is in progress response time gets harder because the technician is working)

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to fluently understand, speak and write English.
• Ability to push, pull and lift at least 50lbs.
• Ability to kneel, crouch and stoop
• Ability to reach above and below the shoulders
• Ability to use hands and fingers to grasp, twist, and pull.
• Ability to climb a ladder and work above ground
• Withstand external weather conditions year-round.
• Handle Power tools (drills, angle grinders)

· Use 16’ ladder (low voltage only)

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $45.00 per hour
