As Logistics Manager, you lead demand planning, scheduling, warehousing & delivery operations for Plastipak’s Plant City facility. You collaborate with multiple functions, including Quality, Procurement and Manufacturing Production, as well as carriers, vendors and customers. Your team contributes to Plastipak’s ranking as an industry leader in the design and manufacture of rigid plastic containers.

You Will

• Manage a team to achieve best possible outcomes for complete and on-time delivery to customers, minimal days on hand, logistics and warehouse costs, inventory accuracy and shrinkage

• Maintain the Finished Goods Management Program, providing for the movement and storage of finished products

• Strategically plan production schedules & line utilization to ensure production schedules meet forecasts, business demand plans and deadlines.

• Review and revise product Master Data for planning, scheduling and warehousing

• Perform monthly cycles of Supply Network Planning, publishing results to the leadership team

• Maintain communication with internal colleagues, customers and carriers

• Uphold & contribute to our positive work environment where safety, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction are top priorities

You Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related, Master's degree preferred

• Minimum of five years of experience with logistics/warehousing/production planning functions within a manufacturing environment

• An in-depth understanding of end-to-end manufacturing and distribution functions

• Proven experience managing a team

• Solid leadership, influence and interpersonal skills to relate with and motivate people

• Excellent critical thinking, analytical & reporting skills

• Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma & continuous improvement practices

• ERP system proficiency, with SAP preferred
