Mars Fishcare is looking to hire a Machine Operator at our Chalfont, PA location!

Required Shift: Monday- Thursday, 5:30am- 4pm (10-hour days)

Job Purpose: Machine operators are system experts in their assigned area, and are highly functional in multiple areas. Machine Operators must work safely at all times. They will ensure efficiency, operational conformance, product quality and drive continuous improvement. Machine Operators function as a member of an area team which is directly responsible for the efficient production of quality products in the required quantities. They operate/change over specified machinery in the assigned area in the prescribed amount of time. Machine Operators must have the skill set to perform the tasks of other associates in the area as needed. This job requires Strong Communication, Interpersonal and Team Building skills to support site objectives.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma, GED or above
Passion to work and learn in a manufacturing environment
Fluent English verbal and written skills
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the FMCG / Factory Operations industry
Mechanical training or experience

What will be your key responsibilities? Responsible for the basic/routine running of packaging/process equipment to complete the conversion process and package finished product prior to shipping in accordance with all routine SOPs and specifications
Loading of packaging material, clearing jams, resetting faults, changeovers product quality checks, report issues, maintaining area GMP’s
Complete basic preventative maintenance work orders as assigned (e.g. lubrication, observation, etc) and enter corrective work order requests into the MIS
Conformance to all quality & food safety procedures, including wearing of PPE and reporting any safety hazards
Report safety incidents immediately to the shift manager or designate.
Any ad hoc requests
