Overview:
Nelson Mullins is seeking a Marketing Specialist to work in the Atlanta, Charleston, Charlotte, Columbia, Greenville, Raleigh, or Nashville office. This position will report to the marketing supervisor and will support various marketing, communications, and public relations activities to implement marketing plans for the litigation practice group. This will involve day-to-day coordination with the marketing supervisor.
A Day in the Life:

  • Writing press releases and other articles and publishing thought leadership
  • Managing webinars and handling the publishing and promotion of events
  • Updating web biographies of attorneys for select practice areas, in addition to writing and posting bios for incoming associates.
  • Collaborating with other marketing, business development, communications, and graphics team members.
  • Assisting with events pertaining to his or her assigned practice areas, which would involve occasional travel.
  • Preparing content for regional quarterly newsletter
  • Researching new contact information for firm alumni, and updating alumni database.
  • This position requires a high energy level and flexibility with overtime and occasional business travel. Marketing assistant to perform other duties as assigned.
We Know You:
College degree from a four-year college or university or other post-secondary education in marketing, public relations, advertising, journalism, business administration, commerce, information management or information technology required.

Additional Qualifications
  • Significant experience with writing and editing in AP-style.
  • Has experience with journalistic writing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a law firm or fast-paced corporate setting preferred.
  • Candidate must be self-motivated and detail-oriented, be a strong writer who is able to draft and synthesize content into compelling messages, and have outstanding organizational skills
  • Must be proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment
  • Capable of a healthy sense of urgency
  • Ability to adapt and learn quickly
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
  • Can understand and decipher basic legal terms in writing
  • Basic to advanced knowledge of InterAction or a similar CRM desired, but not necessary
  • Ability to travel
