Beginning with the initial receipt of patient data through the final scrutiny of the payer's remittance advice, Alpha II empowers precision across the revenue cycle. The company's toolsets, data content and rules engines currently plug and play with electronic health record, practice management and hospital information systems to help their customers comply with the latest policies, standards and directives.

We are currently looking for a Network Engineer II to join our growing team. This position is responsible for maintaining, updating, and safeguarding the company computer networks and systems. The Network Engineer II will work with the Information Technology Manager and other team members to design, plan, implement, and monitor our national network infrastructure.

Essential functions:

• Maintain and support network infrastructure. Including firewalls, switches, wireless access points, VoIP phone systems, and all internal and external connectivity.
• Participate in the planning, engineering, and monitoring the security arrangements for the protection of the network systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve problems.
• Implement and design network solutions.
• Investigate, recommend, and install network related software and hardware.
• Configure and implement intrusion detection systems, Web Application Firewalls, and Mobile Device Management.
• Assist with and perform internal security testing and evaluation of all network and computer systems.
• Assist with security investigations and disaster recovery operations.
• Work with team members and Technology Manager to determine the latest technologies and processes to improve the overall infrastructure and security.
• Create and Maintain documentation regarding all areas of work for future reference.
• Experience with Mobile Device Management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science or related field plus 3-5 years of on-the-job experience or a combination of education and equivalent experience in relevant field
• 3-5 years of proven work experience as a network engineer
• Thorough understanding of the latest network technologies, security principles, and protocols
• Operational experience with security systems, intrusion detection systems, firewalls, anti-virus software, log management, authentication systems, content filtering, etc.
• Understanding of the web-related terminologies and software such as web applications, web related protocols, service-oriented architectures, and web services
• Participate in on-call support rotation for problem analysis and resolution
• Must be within 45-minute drive of Tallahassee, FL
• Must be willing to travel to other datacenters within the continental USA a few times per year

Physical requirements:

Standing, sitting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, bending, climbing, twisting upper body, walking, pushing, pulling, occasional lifting and carrying of large boxes up to 50 pounds, listening, talking, using telephone, exposure to computer monitor screens, and repetitive data entry.

Pay: $88,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
