Position Summary

The Outreach Associate is responsible for promoting the medical centers and American Care’s health plan that results in increased membership in their assigned center by coordinating Marketing events to promote the center and American Care’s health plans.

Essential Job Functions

  • Coordinates outreach efforts to the community.
  • Assist with developing marketing strategies for promoting programs and services
  • Plans advertising strategies, including which media to advertise in, such as radio, television, print, online, and billboards and discuss such with the Outreach Manager.
  • Sets up table tops for community events at community fairs, malls, stores and other areas with increased public traffic.
  • Performs events at senior housing centers.
  • Performs events at American Care medical centers that are informational for new members.
  • Explains to individuals requesting information regarding the services offered by American Care.
  • Notifies the enrollment center of new members.
  • Works at retaining enrolled members by assisting with customer service issues.
  • Complies with state and Medicare guidelines with regards to permissible marketing activities by providers and staff in the managed care center.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to perform repetitive tasks, repetitive movements of hands fingers such as typing and writing. The job requires standing up, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position. Employee may be required to lift heavy boxes or to use a stepladder to retrieve supplies from high shelves, this will be done by reaching with hands and arms. Employee will have frequent communication verbally and written. Must be able to exchange accurate information, demonstrate skills in verbal communication and listening. The employee will occasionally be required to each with hands and arms, grip, bend a knee, sit for period of time, and stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School or Technical school education
  • At least one year related experience in the Marketing Field.
  • Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described including related work experience
  • Some Medicare knowledge

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Relevant or any other job related vocational coursework

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
