We are a fast paced, full service insurance brokerage in Bethesda Maryland, who is currently seeking a licensed, experienced Property and Casualty Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team. Candidate MUST have direct agency experience.

MUST have Active Property and Casualty license

MUST have direct agency experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 or more years of Commercial Lines insurance industry experience
• Ability to understand and effectively communicate information regarding property and commercial insurance
• Proficient with carrier quoting sites, products and ratings
• Analytical skills necessary to evaluate customer inquiries
• Individual who is highly motivated, results-driven, and able to develop client relationships
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfortable interacting at all professional levels
• Extreme attention to detail
• Exemplary customer service skills
• Demonstrates good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Ability to maintain poise under pressure and take responsibility for actions
• Competence with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Experience with a CRM database (Applied Systems, TAM, or EPIC preferred)
• Experience working closely with HR Managers a plus
• Must have ability to scan and maintain electronic file organization in paperless office

DUTIES:

• Provide professional support to Sales Team
• Manage new and renewal P & C business
• Accurately underwrite and rate new business and generate proposals
• Complete binding requests & invoicing
• Issue policies in Applied Systems EPIC
• Process and review policy endorsements
• Process Certificates of Insurance (COIs)
• Work with insureds, brokers, insurance company underwriters and various insurance company departments (as applicable)
• Contact insureds regarding cancellation notices and audits
• Respond timely to calls from insureds (i.e. policy questions, premiums, audits, invoices etc.)
• Process change requests and update in Applied Systems EPIC and with insurance companies
• Prepare excel spreadsheets requested by customers
• Maintain a follow up system
• Reconcile company downloads
• Process policy cancellations
• Maintain accurate files and Applied Systems/EPIC database documentation
