Nura Pain Clinic has an excellent career opportunity for a Patient Access Supervisor to oversee and supervise the front desk and medical records departments. This position is responsible for displaying a positive company image while providing excellent customer service to ensure a desirable visit for staff, patients and visitors.

Essential Functions:

Provides leadership, staff development and management of key services in accordance with policies and procedures and current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Manages assigned front desk and medical records staff including scheduling, hiring, training and development, and coaching of direct reports.

Responsible for staff timecards, coordinating schedules and support needs, this includes coordinating PTO approvals/denials, and coverage needs due to illness or leaves of absence.

Implement performance management systems including objective goal-orientated appraisals and timely feedback to enhance staff experience.

Assures that all medical records follow compliance guidelines, are readily available, and filed accurately/promptly and are released in accordance with HIPAA and State of MN regulations.

Partner with Quality & Compliance Director and Process Improvement Manager to ensure the privacy, documentation and technical practices of the organization are followed.

Work in conjunction with the Process Improvement Manager and Quality & Compliance Director on projects relating to the acquiring, releasing, storage and creation of medical records at Nura.

Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators.

Manages provider schedules including templating in EMR system.

Maintains current knowledge of patient scheduling, registration/intake processes, collections and systems, regulatory and third-party payer issues and requirements.

Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline front desk and medical record workflows.

Effectively and efficiently communicate organizational initiatives.

Promote an atmosphere aligned with the Nura values of teamwork, patient centered care, compassionate/nurturing attitudes, innovation, and integrity.

Promote open communication that facilitates staff input into decision-making, resolution of conflict, and collegiality among all team members.

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:

· Experience with EMR (Nextgen) preferred.

· Previous related experience required.

· Strong organizational, judgment, communication and analytical skills.

· Ability to multi-task and perform multiple priorities under pressure.

· Cooperative and professional behavior toward patients, peers, providers, management and visitors.

· Ability to promote favorable facility image with patients, providers, insurance companies and general public.

· Ability to contribute in a team environment and/or independently, to provide excellent customer service.

· Evidence of leadership qualities. Frequently contributing to the improvement of the department and participate in committee participation, task force, etc.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
