Reports to: Director of Product Management

Primary Responsibilities:

The Product Owner is expected to:

• Protect the legal, financial and moral well-being of the company;
• Be a teacher;
• Correlate systems and operations to and with policies and procedures;
• Find ways to manage company growth, reduce operating costs, improve communication and increase efficiencies and productivity;
• Review, analyze and evaluate business processes and propose improvements to meet user needs; and,
• Coordinate and manage aspects of software development cycle (Requirements, Documentation, Scope and Objectives, Testing, Training, Implementation, Deadlines, Assignments, Progress of Project, etc.).

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Maintain vendor relations
• Identify new products and services to meet company needs
• Own, manage, and maintain the product plan
• Own, manage, and maintain the product backlog
• Perform audit, research and analysis, and other functions as deemed necessary by Senior Management
• All other tasks as assigned by leadership

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience
• 1 year or more of product owner experience
• Knowledge of best practices in product ownership, business analysis, and agile software development
• Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence
• Good communication and people skills, critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills, high-integrity, responsible, self-motivated, organized, able to learn business rules quickly and improve current business processes
