Production Planner Job at The Arc, Oneida – Lewis Chapter
Title: Production Planner
Our Business Enterprises department is seeking to add a Production Planner to our Progress Industries site. In this role you will be the centralized planner between multiple production facilities. The position works closely with each location to develop and maintain a production schedule based on customer demand. An accurate inventory for both raw material and finished goods will be maintained by the Production Planner. The position will be the liaison for support departments and the sales team for real time production information for each location.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and assist Operations Managers with production scheduling based on customer demand.
- Centralize and maintain inventory information for products in each facility for both raw materials and finished material. Ensure all raw materials is on site at the beginning of production.
- Develop, implement, and oversee an operation workflow that ensures accuracy between all internal paperwork for the entire production process between each facility and supporting departments.
- Receive and centralize all customer orders.
- Monitor and track productivity by contract and location.
- Visit each facility to provide support and assist with standardizing all operational procedures.
- Establish and maintain relationships with material vendors.
- Coordinate shipping/receiving with each location and customer for delivery and pickups as necessary.
- Provide support to Operations Managers for all staffing needs including any documents as necessary.

- Assist on the production floor as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service when communicating with customers or prospective customers
- Assist in preparing or reviewing price quotes by evaluating material cost and providing direct and indirect labor by coordinating time studies.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field and thee (3) years of experience in a manufacturing facility with scheduling, inventory, workflow, or supervision
- Ability to work flexible schedules which may include evenings and weekends.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
