Purchasing Clerk (Resume Required) Job at Eagle Mountain Casino
TITLE: PURCHASING CLERK

The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for all clerical duties within the Purchasing Department. Will answer phones, greet guest, file, perform data entry, and receive and sort mail.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate with vendors, guests, and Team Members.
- Assist the Purchasing Agent on backorders need to be researched and completed in a timely manner.
- Assist with the preparation of departmental reports when needed.
- Ensure all documents are properly signed and distributed.
- Maintain department records and filing system, updating as needed.
- Track all correspondence and billings.
- Assist with monthly inventories, collecting data, and computing results.
- Order and maintain record of all supply purchases for department.
- Transport documents to and from various destinations.
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent attendance record.
- Facilitate the flow of information by attending regularly scheduled department meetings.
- Must attend and be certified in all applicable trainings required.
- Assist and perform as back up to the Purchasing Agent.
- Assist and perform as back up to Shipping & Receiving Associate.
- All other department duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and data entry required.
- Experience in setting up and maintaining files.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, data and clerical skills required.
- Experience with office machines. (i.e.: fax, copier, etc.).
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable through the casino’s insurance carrier.
- Must be able to obtain and retain gaming license through the Tule River Tribe Gaming Commission.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL:
- While performing duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, and sit.
- Repeatedly required to reach with hands and arms and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
- The noise level is normally office setting, moderate to loud when on the casino floor.
- Exposure to cigarette smoke, ringing bells, and flashing lights when on the casino floor.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
- Must be able to perform the essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
REPORTS TO: Purchasing Manager
SUPERVISES: None
HOURS: The casino is 24/7; Hours may vary, and some weekends
SALARY: $hr. / weekly pay / overtime eligible
