Job Summary:

The Regional Clinic Outreach Director (“RCOD”) will lead a regional outreach/business development team with a span of control of up to 10 sales representatives. The RCOD will be responsible for achieving sales results for their region and for contributing to the success of Amen Clinics.


The Regional Clinic Outreach Director will be required to deliver on referral objectives and key productivity metrics for the region, as set forth by the VP of Marketing & Business Development.


The RCOD will be responsible for selecting, recruiting, and training of the Clinic Outreach Managers in their region to the highest performance possible through ongoing field coaching and continued development.


This individual will be expected to work cross-functionally across the organization with stakeholders in each business unit in the Enterprise.

In carrying out the responsibilities of the Position, the RCOD will be responsible for conducting in person visits with targeted Health Care Providers (“HCPs”) and other healthcare and legal groups, including but not limited to Therapists, Social Workers, Physicians, Attorneys, Churches, Schools, Organizations, and Health and Executive Coaches as identified by the VP of Marketing and Business Development to drive appropriate referrals and business to Amen Clinics.


The RCOD is responsible for the generation of new business (new referral sources), and re-occurring referrals (from current referral sources) in their defined territory. He/she will commit to an annual and quarterly business development plan, will write specific objectives, and forecast referrals and expected revenue on a monthly quarterly and yearly basis.


The RCOD must develop excellent product knowledge and an awareness of market conditions. They will report on his/her activities weekly and must represent the company in keeping with the highest standards of business ethics and professionalism. They will be responsible for communicating with management any ideas, market trends or competitive activities.


The RCOD may also be required to assist or perform other duties within the Company as directed, from time to time.

The Regional Clinic Outreach Director will be required to live within the assigned geography.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead, motivate, mentor, develop, and retain a team of Clinic Outreach Managers with varied strengths who are technically competent and skilled in the Amen Method, the healthcare marketplace, and account management
  • Coach and mentor current Clinic Outreach Managers (COMs) to perform at their highest level and meet assigned goals.
  • Autonomously facilitate and maintain consistent activity and result levels for the established Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) given for their region
  • Achieve referrals (sales) results/goals and excel in execution of established performance metrics for your region; attain or exceed yearly revenue and referral goals for region of responsibility.
  • Support in-person visits/meetings/and communications with healthcare, organizational, and legal professionals with the COMs in your region.
  • Create strategic business development plans for assigned territory that aligns with brand strategy and supports organizational objectives and addresses the unique needs of our patients and referral partners.
  • Maximize budget allocated to the geographic territory to support execution of strategies and tactics to achieve business goals.
  • Maintain, analyze, and utilize territory data and other information to efficiently organize, plan, and execute on assigned goals; prioritize opportunities while helping the team improve results by securing and applying resources.
  • Select, hire, and train Clinic Outreach Managers

  • Plan and conduct set cadence of meetings; weekly 1:1’s, monthly account reviews, and quarterly business reviews with the COMs. Adhere to Scaling up principles
  • Work cross functionally with the marketing team to ensure a superior professional referral experience and best-in-practice event production
  • Build and maintain highly professional relationships with key referral partners and customers.
  • Work in the field to assess the overall competency and consistency level of the Clinic Outreach Managers. Provide verbal and written feedback to ensure ongoing capability development of COM representatives.
  • Monitor key metrics, weekly- BD goals achievement, Activity, Reach, Frequency, Message, and Impact
  • Develop strong relationships with experts and additional target specialists in assigned geography, ensuring delivery of clinically focused and on brand messages.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with key field-based stakeholders to proactively address customer needs, identify market dynamics and trends, and communicate insights to your supervisor.
  • Engage in ongoing training to improve skills and optimize execution to meet yearly objectives.
  • Support in the planning, organization, and execution of local promotional speaker programs, events, and activities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate capture and reporting of data in the CRM, along with the scorecard of results
  • Collaborate extensively at all organizational levels with key internal partners (i.e. Sales and business development leadership, marketing leaders, clinic leaders and other business unit leaders to establish relationships and effective operating networks to facilitate positive business interactions.
  • Ensure completion of all corporate and administrative responsibilities with high levels of efficiency, including healthcare compliance training, expense reports, and other assignments by established deadlines
  • Agree to and follow all company policy and procedures and essential requirements of the Position
  • Provide timely, accurate, and constructive written and oral communications to management regarding expected revenue through planned monthly activity.
  • Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity
  • Make customer-focused decisions, both independently and with the support and direction of management
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, ideally in business or related fields such as marketing or communications; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Substantial and relevant sales experience in the mental health or medical filed is required
  • Successful experience leading sales or business development teams in the healthcare industry
  • Minimum of (7) years of cross functional experience in key roles (e.g. Sales, Clinical Outreach, Marketing, Strategic Marketing, or Business Development).
  • (3) + years of related management experience or prior direct leadership experience in the healthcare field
  • Proven track record of success (5+ years achieving goal or above) in a Clinic Outreach or similar role having consistent performance in complex markets with diverse customer segments
  • Experience working in a fee-for-service environment preferred.
