The Sandwich Spot Redwood City is looking for their new batch of Crew Members who are friendly, enthusiastic, and who genuinely enjoy serving guests. Ideally, you are someone who shares same passion for food, has good knowledge of how cash registers operate, and loves the idea of providing guests with quality customer service experience. Previous experience in customer service or similar roles is always an advantage, although not required.
To excel in this role, you should be passionate about customer service and thrives in a fast-paced working environment. Being able to work irregular hours over the week, and over weekends and public holidays when needed is a requirement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for stocking ingredients from delivery area to work area, walk-in cooler, and storage.
- In charge of food preparation.
- Answer and take phone orders.
- Follow daily cleaning schedule
- Work and communicate effectively with co-workers and management.
- Respond to questions, concerns, and complaints from customers, vendors, or clients.
- Escalate any problems or complaints to the relevant supervisor or manager.
- Prioritize important tasks and manage your time effectively.
- Man and operate equipment relative to your role.
- Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude.
Qualities We Wish to See:
- Good communication Skills
- Ability to communicate on phone and in person
Requirements:
- High school diploma with or without relevant experience.
- Friendly, reliable, and punctual.
- Strong communication skills.
- Physically fit and able to work on your feet for long periods.
- Ability to work irregular hours (day and night shifts).
- Enjoys working with people.
- At least 18 years of age

The Sandwich Spot gave him the opportunity to own his dream while putting his creative and cultural touch on it. Transforming The Sandwich Spot from a deli to hip and happening place in the community David was able to expand the sandwich menu from 24 to 43 choices. He also added beer and wine selections, and nighttime hookah. With the huge success of the Redwood City Sandwich Spot David is looking to open more restaurants where he can bring people from all over the bay area and make it the spot to be as well!
Pay: $17 - $21 / hour
