Rosewood Miramar Beach is looking for a Part-Time Server Assistant to join Caruso’s Fine Dining Team!

Overview

The Server Assistant will be responsible for providing refined, luxurious service and guest satisfaction according to the standards of the property. Retrieve and serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. Collect payments; assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment; maintain luxury service standards at all times.

Essential Responsibilities

• Utilizes proper food handling and food service techniques.
• Exhibit a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when dealing with guests and fellow employees.
• Assist the Server in taking food and beverage orders in a friendly and timely manner and ensures accurate entry and delivery of the order.
• Meets the Company service standards at all times.
• Maintains knowledge of all specials and general description of all food items and explains to guests.
• Totals guest bills, present them to guests promptly and obtains full payment along with appropriate paperwork, such as signed credit card slips.
• Ensures tables are well maintained at all times.
• Practices all safety and loss prevention procedures.
• Sets up and cleans the dining areas while maintaining or exceeding hospitality and service standards.
• Exceeds standards of appearance, cleanliness, personal sanitation, and hygiene.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least two years of previous experience working as a food server assistant/busser in a fine dining restaurant or a luxury environment
• Excellent Written, Verbal, and group presentation communication skills
• Ability to effectively interact with individuals or small groups of people
• Knowledge of Cuisine (Menu)
• Basic knowledge of wine and liquor, including wine service techniques
• At least 21 years of age to pour alcohol
• Must have a flexible schedule that requires days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Education

• High school diploma.

Licenses and Certificates

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age to pour alcohol.
• Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handling Certification required
