SERVICE MANAGER

COMPANY HISTORY

In 1991, Joanne Currie and her husband Ross purchased Splash Café in Pismo Beach, CA. Over the next 30 years they became well known for winning the 1st place award for their Clam Chowder at the annual Clam Festival. The cafes now serve more than 40,000 gallons of chowder a year, and they have been featured in several national and international publications and TV shows. Their success led to a second location in San Luis Obispo in 2005 where they also have a full-service bakery and sales division. The chowder is also available in a retail package in numerous California Costco stores and shipped nationwide.

GENERAL

• Work location: 197 Pomeroy Ave Pismo Beach, CA 93449
• Full Time Position
• Must be available weekends and some nights
• The Service Manager reports to the General Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintaining the cleanliness of the facility
• All server training and scheduling
• Some inventory ordering
• Monitor food presentation, quality/timing, kitchen performance when kitchen manager is not present.
• Communicate any employee, inventory or facility/equipment issues to the General Manager
• Assist the Sales and Marketing Director with social media needs including pictures, videos etc.
• Welcome guests with a smile and friendly greeting
• Clean and reset tables
• Check on guests to promptly handle any issues
• Maintain our high food safety and sanitation standards
• Perform opening, closing, and side work
• Taking customer orders
• Delivering the food to the customers
• Answering the phone
• Other duties as assigned

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years of restaurant experience required
• 1+ years of leadership experience preferred
• Proof and documentation of being able to work in the US
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds at a time
• Must possess excellent customer service skills
• Available to work weekends and evenings as needed
• Must be fully vaccinated

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
