Your mission:

· Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job

· Perform other duties as assigned

· Wear all Personal Protection Equipment as directed and Work Safely

· Safety Equipment: glasses, gloves, earplugs, shoes, hairnets, beard nets (if applicable)

· Lifting requirement: possibly up to 50 pounds

· Locate spec sheet and all other paperwork

· Determine supplies needed

· Set feeder to size for order

· Set chain lug spacing for bag width

· Set counter stacker to proper width and length of bag

· Re-thread sewing head as needed

· Replace crepe tape, pull tape and thread as needed

· Maintain supplies

· Observe feeder/machine/counter stacker for jam ups

· Inspect tubes as feeder is being loaded

· Inspect hands of bags for proper amount and sewing properties (no skips)

· Enter information into computer system

· Clean work area

· Blow off machine and work area

· Sweep floor and remove trash

· Work overtime when needed

· Train people to ensure proper backfill in sewing department

Your profile:

· Willing to work 8 and 12 hour shifts Monday – Friday

· Rotating Shift Schedule

· Weekends are required

· Manufacturing experience

· Self-motivation is vital for this position

· Strong communication skills are required for this position

· Lifting requirement: 50 pounds or more

Training:

As part of the hiring process, all new hires go through a training process during their orientation. Training at this time includes, but is not limited to the following:

· Employee Plant Orientation

· Safety Orientation/OSHA Requirements

· Quality Manual and Procedures

· ISO Orientation, Quality Policy, and Objectives

· Extensive on the job training in regards to production process and documentation

· SQF Food Safety Training
