Looking for an energetic positive person for an entry-level position as a Stock Clerk in the Surgical/Trauma Intensive Care Unit (SICU). Stocking bedside carts, maintaining the par, keeping the clean utility organized. Keeping up with equipment and when equipment needs repair. Assisting with patient transports, setting up rooms for new patients, helping to keep the unit organized and tidy. Establish and maintain a good professional rapport with department peers, clinical management, staff, administration, nursing personnel, and all other hospital departments and services. This position requires excellent customer service & communication skills. This job will require multitasking, initiative & ability to adapt to changes in work environment & service needs. Position will entail bending and reaching from bottom level shelves to top eye level shelves.

This is a 40 hour a week position; 1st shift at UNC Main Chapel Hill, NC. This position qualifies for an extensive benefit package including PTO hours, which are accrued based on the number of worked hours. This position requires the ability to attend a week long orientation (Monday through Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm) which is offered every two weeks.

Summary:
Receives, orders, inventories, stores and issues items (food, drugs, equipment, chemicals, products, etc.) throughout the facility and off-site locations. This position performs these duties in both patient and non-patient related care areas and is assigned to a variety of departments throughout UNC Hospitals.

Responsibilities:
1. Assists with patient and other transportation as requested
2. Loads and unloads supplies. Packs and unpacks items to be stocked.
3. Maintains invoices and other records.
4. Maintains storage areas in safe, neat and clean condition
5. Receives, orders, inventories, stores and distributes supplies
6. User consultation-meets with users to fulfill needs.
