SUMMARY
Reporting to the Applications and Systems Administrator, the Systems Administrator Specialist will assist the Information Technology Team in promoting Township High School District 113’s mission while supporting our continued technological growth and excellent customer support. This junior-level position’s primary goal is to assist and support the District’s senior technology administrators. This position will be performing system administration tasks and providing helpdesk support to staff not assigned to either one of the high school buildings.

Server Administration (Maintenance, Provisioning, etc.)
Patch Management
Vulnerability Management
Administration Building, Transportation Building, and Elm Place Client Support
Preliminary Incident Investigation
Initial Daily SIEM Log Reviews
Printer Management
Device Compliance
Administration of Certain Applications
Special Education Device Support
Management of the District Mobile Hotspots
Other Duties as Assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred or evidence of appropriate training/experience
PREFERRED TECHNOLOGY SKILLS:
Advanced knowledge of client Operating Systems: Windows 11/10 and MacOS
Advanced knowledge of server Operating Systems: Windows Server and Linux
Experience with client management platforms: Jamf, AirWatch, Intune, and SCCM
Experience with Microsoft Windows Active Directory
Experience with Microsoft Windows Group Policy
Knowledge of Google Apps Management
Scripting
ServiceNow
ITIL
TRANSPORTATION:
The person in this role will be required to support IT needs at four locations (Deerfield High School, Highland Park High School, Elm Place, and the District Administration Building). Therefore, the person in this role must own a vehicle and be able to travel between locations on a regular basis.

Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in specific field. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community. Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication. Ability to manage time efficiently without close supervision. Ability to perform duties under tight deadlines or critical technological situations. Ability to be self-motivated and innovative. Ability to collaborate in a team environment. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures. Ability to write reports and documentation of work. Ability to interact and effectively communicate with staff, administrators, students, and the general public. Ability to communicate with vendors, third-party tech support and other providers and clearly present technology solutions and services to non-technical staff and administrators.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics in the setup and interpretation of reports.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
