Position Available: Warehouse Associate
Full/Part Time: Part-Time or Full-Time (40hrs/wk)
Starting Wage: $16.50/hour
Job Description & Responsibilities:
Wilderness Exchange Unlimited, Denver's premier specialty outdoor retail store, is looking for a full-time or part-time warehouse associate. Wilderness Exchange specializes in climbing, backcountry skiing, mountaineering, and camping, and the offsite warehouse is just up the street from the shop. Outdoor experience and knowledge of the categories we sell are a huge plus. Understanding of the fundamentals of warehouse functions, previous experience with point-of-sale systems and shipping programs are also a plus. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, prompt, and stoked about the outdoor industry.
We are a small company, and as a result, you may find yourself working on a medley of different tasks throughout the day. Some days are super busy, some days are kinda slow – either way, we try to create a fun and safe working environment, where our staff feel comfortable, appreciated, and that their opinions are valued. Warehouse Associate responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Shipping with a surgeon's eye for accuracy
Managing returns according to policy
Receiving product, whether that be inline, closeouts, samples, or cosmetic seconds
Promptly and carefully fulfilling website orders
Maintaining Offsite platform and completing shop transfers
Customer Service vis a vis our customers (phone and online), Amazon, and vendors
Responsibly driving the WildyX van on shop runs, vendor pick-ups, etc
Always reporting to the warehouse manager when encountering problems, oddities, or issues
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and manage loading/unloading van and high shelving
Other job requirements are as follows:
Previous warehouse experience is preferred
Previous point-of-sale systems and shipping programs is preferred (Shipworks, Amazon, Magento, RunIt)
Must have weekday availability
Good sense of humor is preferred, but not required
Must have proof of Covid vaccination
