The Mosholu Montefiore Community Center (MMCC) is the largest not-for-profit provider of quality education, employment, and health and recreation programs in the impoverished neighborhoods of the North Bronx, serving the needs of more than 35,000 residents each year. Work Readiness Instructor Job Description (Full Time)

Duties Include:

  • Conduct Job Readiness Training to participants 18-24 years of age
  • JRT curriculum development
  • Conduct individual job counseling sessions with participants as needed
  • NRF Customer Service Instructor training and certification as well as

refresher courses as necessary

Assist with career counseling, evaluation, skills training, job readiness training and other activities related to employment transition for participants as well as persons with disabilities.

Assist with participant recruitment

  • Disseminate information; provide outreach and training to potential

employees about MMCC services

Work with businesses, agencies and organizations to remove employment barriers and resolve issues related to community integration and independence for people with disabilities.

  • Make current employment leads available to individuals seeking employment and staff.
  • Maintain necessary documentation records for program evaluation and audit purposes
  • Attend mandatory professional development training and meetings
  • Provide feedback to supervisor for improving the quality of service delivery
  • Provide feedback to supervisor for improving the quality of service delivery
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Reports to Program Director.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Services, or related field preferred or Associates degree with at least 2 years of instruction experience

· Must be fully vaccinated for COVID 19. This is an in-person position.

· Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Provide quality internal and external community service; demonstrate good judgement in dealing with issues

· Ability to work independently with attention to task details and meeting deadlines

· Persistent/resilient and able to multi-task

· Be Team oriented

· Proficient in basic use of a computer to include: Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google applications

Salary: $45,000.00 to $48,000.00 commensurate on education and experience.
