The Landings Golf and Athletic Club is a private luxury residential club on Skidaway Island dedicated to providing members with an active lifestyle and resort-class amenities. TLGAC is located 12 miles from historic Savannah and offers members access to six championship golf courses, two marinas, 31 tennis courts, 11 pickleball courts, eight bocce courts, eight unique dining options, five clubhouses, five swimming pools and a 52,000 sq. ft., wellness center.

Responsibilities:

• Assists members and their guests in selection of merchandise.
• Assists with displaying golf shop merchandise.
• Assists golf professionals with weekly/monthly retail display changes.
• Assist golf professionals with par stock levels.
• Takes tee times as needed under club rules.
• Maintains up-to-date miscellaneous information regarding play, etc. to provide to golfers as they check in.
• Answers golf shop telephone(s).
• Checks golfers in and collects fees.
• Uses cash register.
• Wraps gifts.
• Keeps up with special events (golf tournaments, etc.).
• Assists golf professionals and tournament coordinator with special events.
• Cleans and straightens golf shop as needed.
• Assists Golf Professionals in every day duties.
• Prepares and maintains coffee station daily.
• Maintains radio or other contact with the shop for up-to-date information on a regular basis.+

Job Qualifications:

• Retail experience preferred.
• Computer experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and public relations skills required.
• Must be able to meet public in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Golf knowledge preferred.
• Ability to stand throughout duration of shift.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
• Golf Operations operates 6-7 days per week; so must be able to work overtime if necessary.
• Performs job responsibilities according to the company safety and training programs.
• Reports safety or hazard concerns to management.
• Reports any on the job injury to management.
• Takes personal responsibility for safety every day.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work in an environment that requires travel to various locations on campus by approved means.
• Flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.

Experience

• 1 year(s): 1 year previous retail experience, preferred experience in sport retail
