- High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
- Four (4) year apprenticeship and achievement of journeyman status.
- Ability to coordinate work processes around the schedules of a number of other trade groups simultaneously.
- Union member in good standing.
- Concrete mixing and finishing/brick laying: set forms, expansions, joints; hand mixes as needed.
- Stucco/spackling/caulking/patching/plastering
- Other: insulates and refractors the inside of boilers.
- Tool preventative maintenance: sharpen hatchets, maintains all personal tools/supplies.
- General supplies maintenance: wheelbarrows, paint pans, brushes, etc.
- Moves all supplies, furniture, materials, tools & equipment, as needed.
- Assists with snow removal throughout the District.
- Performs other duties of the Maintenance Department, as may be assigned by the Facilities Administrator, Mason Foreman or designee.

QUALIFICATIONS:
JOB GOAL
Performs the work of a mason including mixing and finishing concrete, brick laying, plastering, spackling, pasting, caulking, patching, etc.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working Conditions: Exposure to extreme temperatures; indoor/outdoor work; opportunity
for periods of medium to heavy physical exertion
Work Hazards:

Exposure to epoxies, acids, chemicals, loud noises, and other elements or conditions which could potentially pose a threat to health if proper safety precautions are not followed, and/or if in certain instances personal protective clothing and equipment is not worn.
