Server
Status: Part time or Full time
Reports to: Front of House Managers
Responsible for: All Steps of Service in the dining area including assigned tables, service areas, service bar and expo pass
Technically
- Demonstrates excellent knowledge of all menu details and preparations as well as allergen information and possible modifications
- Able to describe and present food and drinks in an impressive manner including balancing multiple dishes or drinks on a tray gracefully
- Provides excellent hospitality to a diverse range of guests, consistently through both slower and high-volume shifts
- Meets sales expectations, records all sales tickets accurately, and follows proper money handling and reporting
- Maintains a clean, safe and organized work space during prep, service and closing
- Participates in special events at the restaurant such as private parties or buy outs, which involve a different pace of service such as passed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres
- Masters all applicable technology including MobileBytes

Physically
- Scheduling availability that meets the needs of the restaurant
- Proven reliability and excellent attendance, including ability to be on time and ready to work full shifts
- Ability to be active on the floor for extended periods of time including late at night, weekends and holidays
- Ability to follow all steps of service (greeting multiple guests quickly, taking multiple orders at a time, mising with plates and flatware at appropriate times, filling water, clearing entire tables and bringing plates and occasional bus pans to dish room, processing payments in a timely manner, etc.)
- Ability to lift 25 pounds and ability to perform other physical tasks consistently through both slower and high-volume shifts including squatting to access storage areas, reaching across tables to serve and clear, moving chairs and barstool and table tops/bases, retrieving items from tall shelves, balancing a tray with at least 6 cocktails, executing wine service, carrying and presenting 3 dishes at once.
