Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is seeking a qualified Sr Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst (Level 4) to join the Research and Advanced Design (R&AD) and Air Dominance Growth Finance team responsible for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) execution. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA and offers the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule or full-time telecommuting.

Our program areas are a fast paced, dynamic, and complex environment that requires a candidate to possess self-initiative, strong analytical skills, and solid leadership characteristics. Candidate will have the following, but not limited to, responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  • Conducting financial forecasting analysis and use of financial metrics (Awards, Acquisitions, Sales, Operating Margin, ROS%, Cash)

  • Performing financial analyses and preparing variance explanations, estimates to complete forecasts (EACs), and monthly corporate and customer reporting related to cost performance and sales outlook

  • Working with the business management teams to develop strategies to improve financial performance based on metrics and supporting the management & reporting requirements for the program

  • Supporting development of consolidated program Long Range Strategic Plans and Annual Operating Plans

  • Executing and supporting Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and documentation

  • Ensuring adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government

  • Fostering an environment of integrity, establishing relationships, and maintaining communication with stakeholders at multiple levels

  • Supporting all related program audits

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with 7 years' experience or Bachelor’s Degree with 9 years' proven experience in business, finance, accounting, and/or similar industry related fields

  • Experience successfully supporting a monthly financial forecasting rhythm – i.e. Awards, Sales, Margin, Cash

  • Experience in developing and analyzing financial EACs and Profitability

  • Experience with SAP or Oracle

  • Experience with MS Office Skills including Excel (Pivot tables and VLOOKUP) and PowerPoint

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to integrate cost and schedules utilizing Deltek Cobra or similar EVM tools such as MPM/COBRA and MS Project

  • Experience with IFAS (Integrated Financial Analytics System), Cognos or other financial forecasting tools

  • Experience with SAP-BW (OLAP) Queries

  • Experience with AOP/LRSP development

  • Earned Value Management Program Experience

  • Ability to Create and Edit Excel Macros and Slicer tools

  • Candidate must gain and have an understanding of, and adherence to, company policies, procedures and internal controls

  • DOD Secret or Top-Secret clearance

Salary Range: $97,300 USD - $160,600 USD


Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
