Job Summary
The mission of Dallas Theological Seminary as a professional, graduate-level school is to glorify God by equipping godly servant-leaders for the proclamation of His Word and the building up of the body of Christ worldwide.
The Backend Web Developer will create, code, and improve the server, server-side applications, and databases that, when combined with front-end codes, help create a functional, seamless experience for the end-user to meet the current and future needs of Dallas Theological Seminary.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Install and maintain WordPress.

Configure and optimize Apache/IIS/NGINX
-
Install and maintain plugins in WordPress
-
Troubleshoot current web applications
-
Develop new web application solutions as new business needs warrant.

Other duties as directed by the SR Director of Web Development.
Required Skills/Abilities:
-
Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills and knowledge of two or more 4th generation programming languages and/or databases.

C# and ASP.NET

CSS, HTML, PHP, and JavaScript

Microsoft .NET Framework

Web Application Development, REST, SOAP

SQL & SQL Server

Application Programming Interfaces, APIs

Job Qualifications
Education and Experience:
-
Bachelor's degree in MIS, CIS, mathematics, computer science, or related area required and two years of Web Development IT experience.
Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
